First Day of School!

The boys had their first day of school this week! I had a fun time getting some sweet photos of them before making our way to school. Oh… and on the way to school. Yes.. Traffic! I knew this is what we signed up for when we decided to enroll them in a school in Alpharetta when we live in Cumming now, but Wow. It’s going to be an adjustment for sure. Thank God for DVD players in the car! You know what though, it’s so worth it. The school, and teachers are amazing, and they’re like family to us. We toured several schools in our new area, and we didn’t find one anywhere close to this one. So, I’m going to suck it up, and just make the trip in traffic. Even if I do have to listen to re-runs of “Word World” or “Sid the Science Kid” each trip. Their first day we were a little late. I took a back road thinking it would be quicker, and it wasn’t. Plus, I took some time snap some sweet pics of their faces before I left to make the commute, which added to the lateness I suppose! Sienna gets to have some time to herself with me, although with her  morning nap, it won’t be a lot of time before we have to go pick up her brothers again.  Parker and Mason did great their first day.  They had a prayer service at the church to bless the year, and Father Rob spoke a blessing over each class, which I thought was great.  I was a little sad on the way to pick them up, wondering if they had missed me and if I was doing the right thing by putting them both in school for three days (especially Mason with him being younger) instead of having them home with me, but God gave me peace about it.  I know that their teachers are a blessing to them and they learn so much about socialized play, how to be creative, hearing God’s truths, learning manners as well as basics in phonics, science and math.  Something that is a challenge as a Mother when you have three close in age, and a household to keep up with.  The boys love it too! Mason is certainly a little more sensitive, but has still adjusted just fine.  The boys are growing up so fast!
