Father’s Day and a photo fun gift.

We enjoyed a nice weekend with Dan this past Father’s Day. We cherish the weekends spent with him since he’s been traveling so much lately. We enjoyed a nice church service where Stonecreek showed some Dad love shown in this video

After enjoying an afternoon lunch as well as a nap and then headed over to our new neighbor’s house for a cook out. It was a nice relaxing weekend, and I think Dan really enjoyed his father’s Day. Parker and Mason certainly had fun in the backyard slide-into-kiddie pool with their best bud Carter as well as eating hot dogs and other yummies with little friends.

I wanted to make Dan a little gift from the kids, that didn’t look like… that it was from the kids. You know the Dad gifts I’m talking about… ones that are sweet in thought, but that you would never hang on to? Yeah, we’ve done a few of those before, and this year I saw something on Pinterest that made me get an idea to do something similar, but a little different that Dan would actually want to hang in his office.

It started with these out takes…

They weren’t happy campers at first… truth be told.  Not only that, but on the way down to take the pictures, I got a deep splinter in my foot, and was so determined to get the pics that I just hobbled around since I already had all the kids down in the grass, with Sienna and camera in tow.  Eventually we got it right and after adding some words in picmonkey, and editing in iphoto, we ended up with these three winners.

I decided to finish it off with a matted frame from Target.  Nothing fancy, but I think it turned out to be a winner! It looks great in his office!

  1. There’s no doubt that all parents want the very best for their children. It’s evident in the conversations I have with my friends and clients who are mothers. We want to surround our kids with love, encouragement, creativity, fun, friends and family, activities they’ll enjoy, stimulating learning environments and the list goes on.
