Valentines Day

Valentines Day was a lot of fun this year!  Mostly because I have a toddler and it was fun making little valentines and having parties with little friends.  Parker had a fun party in his class, and I brought heart shaped fruit kabobs. They turned out great!

I made little heart shaped cookie sandwiches for Parker to give to the teachers (which he helped me make!).  I thought they turned out great.  It was a lot of fun to spend time with Parker making cookies.  He LOVES helping in the kitchen.  Oh, and like his Mama, eating cookies too.  His favorite part?  Shaking the sprinkles.  He loved doing the “sprinkle dance”!

I also had a lot of fun making valentine’s for Parker’s little friends and classmates.  I found something similar to this on Pinterest, and decided it was a great idea. I like the fact that it wasn’t candy, and that most Moms approve of goldfish and kids love them too!

Parker had a lot of fun at school for his class party.  The kiddos enjoyed the valentine snacks, crafts and parachute time.

He had a lot of fun.  He really enjoyed saying “Valentines Day!” and pointing out hearts throughout our day. After naps, we met up with some friends at our favorite local indoor bounce and play center Kangazoom.  I brought some more snacks, and materials to do crafts and valentines to hand out to friends.  Parker was more interested in playing with his friends and snacks than crafts. Boys…what do you expect, right? I wish I had some cute photos to share, but left my memory card at home. I think Mason really enjoyed his first Valentines day.  He got lots of fun little valentines from his friends along with Parker.  He also had a lot of fun in the infant area with his friends Rosabell and Aubrey.  He also loved pushing around chairs and exercising his legs in preparation for walking soon!

That night, we had a simple dinner at home.  I had prepped a delicious whole chicken with rice to end our Valentines with the family.  It turned out great and the family loved it.  It was a nice end to our day.
